PREPARE FOR THE MARRIAGE—NOT ONLY THE WEDDING.

A sacred initiation into union.

A premium marriage-initiation experience combining relationship insight, meaningful vows, and a custom ceremony for couples who want to cross the threshold of marriage consciously.

“How you begin a thing largely determines how it goes.”

THE WEDDING IS THE THRESHOLD. MARRIAGE IS THE JOURNEY.

THERE IS SOMETHING MORE AVAILABLE.

A wedding can be a beautiful event—or the first embodied act of
the marriage you are choosing to build.

A wedding can be treated as a legal formality, a celebration, or simply a day when someone stands at the front of a room and says the right words.

But marriage is one of the great thresholds of a human life. To cross it consciously is to place a stake in the ground for the kind of relationship you intend to create: not merely a shared household or lifelong companionship, but a relationship worthy of your devotion.

Sacred Vow Journey helps you slow down before that crossing—to see one another more clearly, understand the relationship you are actually entering, name what you are choosing, and speak vows rooted in something deeper than beautiful language.

ONE COMPLETE PREMIUM EXPERIENCE.

Prepare the relationship before
we personalize the script.

Sacred Vow Journey is intentionally offered as one integrated path. The preparation, vows, and ceremony belong together.

Two equal forces.
One sacred threshold.
A journey entered together.

THE POLARITY PORTRAIT

A relational map before a ceremony
script.

Most personalization begins with the words you want spoken at the ceremony. Ours begins earlier—with the relationship itself.

The Polarity Portrait is a tangible map of the recurring dynamics between you: the gifts you bring, the tensions that repeat, and the invitations for growth hidden inside them. It gives you language for what you already feel but may not yet know how to name.It is not therapy. It is not a mystical reading. It is a mirror designed to help you enter marriage with greater clarity, choice, and compassion.

MARRIAGE AS A PATH OF BECOMING

The person you love will not only accompany your life.
They will help reveal who you are—and who you are capable of becoming.

Intimate relationship reveals both our gifts and the places where love asks us to grow. Marriage can become one of the great formative relationships of a human life: a place where two people continually call one another toward greater truth, maturity, courage and love.

The wedding is the threshold.

The relationship is the path.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

To stand as witness,
I must first know
the journey.

As your guide, I stand as witness to the journey that has prepared you, the sacred vows you make, and the marriage those vows ask you to build. Before your family and community, I help make visible the clarity, readiness and devotion with which you enter that commitment.

Sacred Vow Journey brings the preparation, the vow-making and the ceremony into one continuous process. Together, we look beneath the surface of your story, name what matters, and create a ceremony that reflects not only where you have been, but the marriage you are choosing to build.

Whether your marriage is rooted in a particular faith, blends traditions, or simply carries a sense of reverence, the process is shaped around you.

THE mirror

“I instantly burst into tears because I felt so seen. It gave words to what I have felt. The way it described ‘the past’ was so perfect. It even got the ‘why’ of how I was showing up.”

QUESTIONS

Depth
without
mystery.

Commitment should feel clear. These are the questions a thoughtful couple should be able to answer before they inquire.

How is this different from premarital counselling?

The Sacred Vow Journey is a guided marriage-initiation experience that invites you to see yourselves and one another more clearly, deepen the foundation of your relationship, and make vows rooted in lived truth. Relational insight, intentional preparation, vow creation, ritual and ceremony are woven together so that your wedding becomes more than a meaningful event—it becomes a conscious threshold into marriage.

Can we book you to perform only our wedding ceremony?

When friends ask whether I will perform their wedding ceremony, my answer is simple: I will—if I believe you are ready.

Readiness does not mean having a perfect relationship or being free from tension. It means being willing to look honestly at the relationship you are entering: to recognize your patterns, face your tensions and shadows, and lean more fully into the polarity that is unique to the two of you.

That is why the Sacred Vow Ceremony cannot be separated from the Journey that precedes it. Through the Polarity Portrait and our Deepening conversations, we explore together what your relationship is asking of each of you—and whether you are prepared to make the vows you intend to make. Only then can I stand beside you with integrity, not merely as the person performing your ceremony, but as a witness to the journey that brought you there.

What happens if you believe we are not ready to get married?

Readiness for marriage is not a verdict that I deliver; it is a clarity we work toward together. You've already made the decision; it is not my place to decide for you whether you should marry. My responsibility is to ensure that you have looked honestly at what needs to be seen so that you can make that decision with your eyes wide open.

That means knowing not only the greatness and beauty in one another, but also the patterns, shadows and shortcomings that will accompany you into marriage. If difficult truths emerge, we do not treat that as failure or rush past them. We bring them into honest conversation. The decision remains yours—but it becomes a decision made with a deeper understanding of whom you are choosing, what you are committing to and what your vows will truly require of you.

How long does the Sacred Vow Journey take?

Most Sacred Vow Journeys include approximately six sessions, each about 90 minutes in length. The precise rhythm can be shaped around your wedding date and the particular needs of your relationship, with enough space between conversations for reflection, practice and integration.

This is not a checklist to complete as quickly as possible. The intention is to give the process enough time to do its work so that you arrive at your ceremony not only ready for the wedding, but more consciously prepared for the marriage.

Is the ceremony legally recognized?

Yes. I am a registered wedding officiant legally authorized to perform marriages in Manitoba, and your Sacred Vow ceremony can include all of the elements required for your marriage to be legally recognized.

For weddings outside Manitoba, legal requirements vary by province, state and country. We will explore those requirements early and determine the appropriate path. In some destinations, that may involve satisfying the local requirements; in others, the legal component may be completed separately while the Sacred Vow ceremony remains the true relational and ceremonial threshold into your marriage.

Is the Sacred Vow Journey religious?

It is sacred and reverent, but not denominational. The experience can honour religious, interfaith, culturally blended, secular-spiritual, or simply thoughtful couples who feel the significance of marriage deserves reverence.

What is a Polarity Portrait?

Your Polarity Portrait is a personalized map of the living dynamics within your relationship: the gifts each of you brings, the tensions that tend to repeat, and the invitations for growth hidden within them. It gives language to what you may already feel but have not yet known how to name. It is not a personality test or mystical reading, but a mirror—one designed to bring greater clarity, compassion and choice to the way you love, relate and grow together.

Can we just book you to perform only our wedding ceremony?

Will you help us write our wedding vows?

Absolutely—but we will do more than simply write them. We will craft them together.

A vow is not merely a beautiful collection of words spoken during a ceremony. It is a promise about how you intend to love, serve, honour and stand beside the person you are marrying. Because every person and every relationship is unique, the commitments you make should arise from an honest understanding of who you are, whom you are choosing and what your relationship asks of each of you.

Traditional vows can provide wisdom and guidance where appropriate, but the words we craft will be rooted in the particular truth of your relationship. By the time you speak them, you will understand not only what you are saying, but what you are committing yourself to live.

Can you perform destination weddings?

Absolutely. I am available to travel for destination weddings, whether elsewhere in Canada or internationally.

Travel arrangements, timing and the legal requirements of your chosen destination will be discussed during our initial conversations. Wherever your ceremony takes place, the intention remains the same: to create a sacred threshold that reflects your relationship, honours the journey that brought you there and gives your vows the depth they deserve.

What if one of us is more ready for this process than the other?

It is entirely normal for two people to enter this process with different levels of enthusiasm, certainty or comfort. You do not need to be in precisely the same place, move at the same pace or express yourselves in the same way.

What is required is a genuine willingness from both of you to participate, to tell the truth and to engage with what the process reveals. One person may open the door or feel the call more strongly at first—but both must be willing to walk through it. Where that willingness is present, the difference between you can itself become part of what the journey helps you understand.

Do you attend or lead the wedding rehearsal?

In most cases, my attendance at a wedding rehearsal is not necessary. Couples typically hold a separate rehearsal with their wedding planner and wedding party to walk through logistics, timing, entrances, and other practical details of the day.

Because we will have already worked closely together to craft your ceremony and prepare you for the meaning and flow of your vows, there is usually no need to rehearse the actual exchange of vows or the ceremony I will be delivering. By the time your wedding day arrives, you will already understand what is being said, why it is being said, and how the ceremony will unfold.

That said, if a couple feels it would be helpful or important to have me present for a rehearsal, this can certainly be discussed and arranged. In most situations, however, it is not required and the ceremony is well supported through our preparation together and the rehearsal led by your planner.

Can we incorporate our faith, culture or family traditions?

Absolutely. Marriage is not merely a private promise between two individuals. It is a vow made in the presence of—and often held by—a family and community.

Your ceremony should honour the faith, culture, ancestry and traditions from which your relationship emerges. Together, we can thoughtfully incorporate the prayers, readings, rituals, people and symbols that hold genuine meaning for you. The result will not be a generic ceremony with traditions added for decoration, but one that feels true to your relationship and respectful of the community gathered to witness it.

How private is what we share during the process?

Everything shared within the Sacred Vow container is treated as sacred and confidential. It is received for the purpose of deepening your relationship, increasing understanding and helping you practise the vulnerability and honesty that intimacy requires.

What is revealed in vulnerability is never to become ammunition. It will not be shared outside the process or used as leverage by me, and part of our work is establishing that same covenant between the two of you: to receive one another’s truth with care rather than weaponize it later. The container must be safe enough for what is hidden to be spoken, witnessed and met with compassion.

How do we begin?

The first step is a Threshold Conversation: a calm, no-pressure conversation about your story, your relationship, your wedding and the marriage you are preparing to enter. It is an opportunity for us to meet, explore what you are seeking and discern whether Sacred Vow Journey is the right path for you. If it feels aligned, we will then discuss timing, next steps and how your journey will begin.
